On STL Day 2025, Rana Jchaj finally opened The Butter Chicken Spot (which some call TBCS, Butter Chicken, or The Spot) after months of dreaming, conceptualizing, and preparation. Born into the restaurant life, Jchaj learned a lot about the industry from parents, Parmjit Singh Jhajj and Farhana Khan Suri. Then, one day, Jchaj was at his home with his parents, life partner (Rabiah Illasarie), and best friend (Josh Cage), when Jchaj’s dad says casually, “There should be a restaurant called Butter Chicken, where all you sell is Naan, Basmati Rice, and Butter Chicken.” And, well, with some more developed thought and ideation, the rest became history.
From exciting REMIX! items centered around Butter Chicken and a weekly rotating menu for people to make a cost-saving Combo Meal out of, to traditional entrées that you’re probably used to eating from other Indian restaurants, only this time made better and faster; there is something here for everybody!
